Chinese Fakeaway

Hoisin pork ribs ⠀

Blackened pork belly (aka burnt 🤣)⠀

Noodles⠀

Tenderstem brocolli ⠀

Cost - approximately £4.03 for 3 ⠀

Here we have a Chinese themed mini feast. ⠀

Everything cooked from scratch with whoopsies and, since I'm working from home, made throughout the afternoon. ⠀

Which is partly the reason that we have blackened pork belly - trying to do too many things at once... Pictured with extra toppings to cover them up a bit, but still pictured to show that not everything goes according to plan 🤣⠀

Pork ribs were boiled for 30 minutes before being glazed in a mix of hoisin sauce, soy sauce, siracha, and honey. They were then baked in the oven wrapped in foil for an hour and 30 minutes and these happened to turn out pretty perfectly!⠀

The stir fry is just thinnly sliced carrots and a red pepper fried with garlic, ginger and soy. Udon noodles were then added in along with the juice of a lemon ⠀

Tenderstem brocolli - cooked in a griddle pan with a spray of oil until just tender, about 15 minutes, and then finished with a squeeze of lemon juice
