The best brownies ever are gooey, super chocolatey, have mini eggs and creme eggs for days which offer some extra gooeyness and crunch.
Now, if you aren't able to get mini eggs these can be replaced with whatever you fancy, or you can leave these extras out and just have them plain.
Also I have read a lot of recipes that advise getting the best chocolate you can afford, but let's be real - when its baked with everything else, the difference is negatable.
I've tried both cheap and good quality dark chocolate and honestly didn't notice any difference so save some pennies :)
Ingredients
250g dark chocolate
250g salted butted
3 eggs plus an extra yolk
?? Caster sugar
60g plain flour
60g cocoa powder
Toppings and extras of choice - mini eggs are my favourite
Method 1, Melt 250g of dark chocolate and 250g of salted butter in a bain-marie or in the microwave 2, While melting whisk 3 eggs plus an extra yolk and caster sugar in a large bowl until combined 3, Add melted chocolate mix into your egg mix and whisk 4, Add dried ingredients, 60g plain flour, and 60g cocoa powder and fold (round the outside and through the middle) until combined 5, At this point add extra treats to your mix: fruit, sweets, pretzels, chocolates 6, Pour into a lined tin - whatever you've got - and top with further treats; I choose mini eggs and mini cream eggs for an easter feel 7, Bake in a preheated oven of 150°c fan for about 45 mins - low and slow
Tips: when checking if they are cooked your skewer will not come out clean because brownies are meant to be eaten gooey BUT make sure they don't wobble when shaken
